Raymond Frimpong Owusu engages with Zorya Lugansk

A historical moment for Gold Coast Football Academy as Raymond Frimpong Owusu engages with his new Club Zorya Lugansk of the Ukrainian Premier League.
The transfer concluded on the last day of the Winter Transfer Window on the 1st of March 2021.

The Striker has been with Gold Coast Football Academy since 2020 after a scout of the academy referred the player to Management and Coaching Staff back in 2019.

Due to Covid-19 it was then agreed to loan the player back to Asokwa Deportivo FC, a Club based in the Division 1 League of Ghana.
Asokwa Deportivo FC is a major Partner of Gold Coast Football Academy, as both the Club and the Academy enjoy a very good relationship.
Frimpong Owusu is one of the few talents loaned to the division 1 side of Kumasi.

“We wish Raymond all the best of luck in bis new endeavours. Zorya Lugansk is his new Club, however never forget where you came from! Stay humble like we know you to be. The GCFA Board, Golden Boys and the Allah is Great Boys stand behind you”, says the Sporting director Derek Amoateng.
